Hey, you all! Summer has been busy busy! The kids are out of school and running around. I have been shooting baby and family session’s galore. We’ve had weddings in and out of town! All in all, it has been a fun busy season! I hope that all of you are enjoying slower summer days, and time spent with your families.

Yes, I am actually posting a wedding on my blog. Do you all know how hard it is to narrow down a wedding to a handful of images (ok ok… I couldn’t actually do a handful. The gallery has about 50 images in it)? It’s seriously next to impossible for me and then I go back and forth on what people want to see. Most blogs ask for details for content and while I take them… I much more interested in capturing the moments from a wedding day. I am honored when my clients choose us to help document the powerful emotions that come up on a wedding day and definitely think that they are the most amazing part of my job! So here we go with a mixture of both. I hope that you enjoy!

Tuxes: Lawton, his dad, his brother & my dad are all wearing matching suits from Joseph A Bank. Ushers are asked to wear a dark grey suit of their own & we’re providing matching ties.
Wedding Cake: By CCV pastry department
Groom’s Cake: Groom’s cake is being served @ the rehearsal dinner, also by CCV pastry
Make-up Artist: Nicki Crocker
Hair Stylist and Salon: Nicki Crocker, Carytown Instyle Salon
Rentals: CCV provides all tables, chairs, linens, etc.

If anyone was wondering about that gorgeous garland, I think that Shelton made it!
So last weekend, we shot a wedding in Virginia Beach. It was supposed to be on the beach and as we were driving down there it started pouring. Ryan and I chatted as we got there about how it couldn’t possibly be on the beach still and I assumed that we would be at the Museum. Well, needless to say if you check out these pictures, our assumptions was wrong and thank goodness for it. The light came out right at the end of the ceremony with the dramatic gray (grey.. never know the proper spelling of that one:) skies in the background, the waves crashing and then wind blowing up a storm. It really was dramatic and stunning. Here are a few glimpses into the day. I will definitely post a longer blog about it later but until then here you go, Katie and Andy! I hope that you all enjoy!

P.S. As you all can tell, these images are sized differently than before… I am just playing around with my image dimensions and speed to see how quickly things will load for me etc. Please bear with me as I figure out what I like the best(… feel free to let me know your thoughts as well!)
I am so excited to post Blair and Marshall’s engagement session…. we had a fun time running around downtown and utilizing some of the fun scenery of downtown. I had blast you guys… can’t wait for the wedding:)

Hey there! Yes, I know that I am a bad blogger. The poor, neglected blog and the poor,neglected blog readers but I am back now:). I am going to try to catch up on a few shoots today and here is a beautiful, intimate wedding from last month. Joanna and Brian had a beautiful night for their wedding completely surrounded by their wonderful family and friends. It was a joy to be there to photograph their day. Enjoy!
