Beautiful family

Hold on to your ovaries ladies… this baby is gorgeous. You’ll see why when you see her beautiful parents in a minute. I have been lucky enough to have taken pictures for this family quite a bit over the last three years. They are wonderful friends and man are their kids cute! Enjoy!

So you’ll noticed that I copied my own shot on this one but I have wanted to use it for a baby since I took it with the pupsters!

Dottie

So I love love love love love love this bridal session and I am not tooting my own horn over here. It just all worked… Dottie and I had a fabulous time. Dottie is beautiful and her dress perfection. The location was gorgeous. The light cooperated with me. The weather held. The gods aligned, etc. etc.  I have been dying to post them. Since Dottie and Barry’s fabulous wedding was yesterday, I am posting them as soon as I can! I can not come up with enough synonyms for the words “fabulous” to describe how much fun Dottie and Barry have been to work with! Congrats you all! I will have the wedding sneak peek up soon!

I hope that you all enjoy!

P.S. Please excuse  my gratuitous use of exclamation points. I simply can’t help myself!!!

Tina!

A bridal! Whoot! I never post these because of everyone wanting the big reveal but have decided to start. The reason being, I love bridal portraits! Obviously, we are post Tina and Damon’s wedding and I am sure that they are waiting with bated breath for their wedding images. Hopefully, these will tide you all over for a bit!

I hope that you all enjoy!

Kayleigh and Brian

A couple of months ago, I had the privilege of shooting Kayleigh and Brian’s beautiful wedding. It was an incredibly touching day which really showcased the couple’s love of one another and their family. What makes this story even more incredible is that the wedding was planned in one month’s time and absolutely all of the services and products were donated by the vendors! More of this story can be seen here: http://ofdconsulting.blogspot.com/2010/02/coming-together-for-good-cause.html

At the River

I was lucky enough the other day to shoot one of my friend’s and her boys down by the river. I loved the feel of these and hope that you all do as well!  Happy Friday!

Sarah and Chris: An Engagement Session

I was excited to go to Sarah and Chris’s Engagement shoot as we planned on starting at their brand new house and then move over to the Poe Museum. We lucked out with a gorgeous spring day that wasn’t too hot or cold. I got even more excited when I got to the house and there was still a few piles of boxes by the front door and paint on the stairs. Sarah immediately told me how she thought it would be fun if we could incorporate some of the boxes into the shoot as well as a bit of the chaos (obviously there are no children living in that house because her chaos was mild in comparison to a house filled with two toddlers!). We got the paint swatches in there and Bacon (their lovely pupsters has already been featured once on the blog).  Sarah and Chris helped to make this shoot a piece of cake for me by giving me a ton of information in my questionnaire and then even thinking up fun ideas themselves! I am so excited to shoot their wedding in September.  Enjoy!

The bee’s knees

So that title is not for me or these pictures but very simply how I feel about my lovely little sister who has been my muse since she was born. Seriously, the first black and whites that I ever took were of her when she was three painting on the porch. When she was six, I made her run barefoot in a fairy costume in the woods of Santa Barbara, she helped me build my children’s portfolio when I first started my business 8 years ago, then my teenage portfolio and now she is moving on to the bride side (yes… that makes me want to cry). Thanks for being my muse, Ya! I love you. The best part of you is that you are so many things… intelligent, funny, sarcastic (I like to think I had something to do with that), and so much more. I am so excited to see what the next couple of years bring for you.

I technically should not be posting this shoot as I want to share it with big wide world and not just on my little blog.  Now at least my mom can stop calling me every other day to see the pictures :)

This shoot had a crew of vendors/lovely friends and family that helped: Lindsay Averette from LK Events and Designs styled the shoot(one day I will tell you all the story of the worms and the slate…it makes me giggle every time I think about it), Josh Henderson from Mango Salon did the fabulous hair and makeup, Pleidales vintage bridal supplied the dresses, Jon Goodrich assisted me, Laura from the Buttercream Bee gave us a cake for the other part of the shoot, and Carolyn Young did the florals.

I am not however posting any more of these until I hear back on them so you will have to wait (mom)! I hope that you all enjoy!

I think I love you….

Jayci and Aaron because every single picture that we took of you last weekend was beautiful. Thanks for making it easy!! I can’t wait to post the entire wedding with details and all (The wedding planner was Colleen Cook of CCS Events. The gorgeous flowers were by Jerry from GML designs. The reception venue was Main St Station… definitely a winning combo!)  I will be posting more in a few days but in the meantime here are a few of the lovely couple.

I hope that you all like them!!

All the best,

Meghan

Go Rams!
